I am also wondering about a good botanical conditioner. The one I use now–TreSemme Flawless Curls Optimal Hydration–has a ton of alcohol in it and no botanicals or humectants. Does anyone have an idea?

Kelly, I used to have the exact same problem! Then I read Lauren Conrad’s “Beauty” and finally got it. It’s just as Jordan & Elizabeth say–twist the strands one direction (let’s say to the left) and then cross them the other direction (or right, since you twisted them to the left).

I just stumbled upon your blog. Your hair is beautiful and healthy! I am trying to grow my hair out, it is very thick! I get it trimmed about every six months, but I am struggling with split ends. How do you keep your hair split-end free?

I am excited to try out some of these technics and hairstyles! I almost always wear my long hair in a braid because it’s fast, and I can keep it out of the baby’s hands, but it’s so boring that sometimes I’ve been tempted to cut it off. My husband loves it long though, and I don’t want to dissapoint him. So, I decided to try and find some creative hair ideas. We have also been blessed with a third daughter recently, so I figured, all the more reason to learn some new styles to use on all these little heads of hair! I am very happy I came upon your blog!
